Please join us this Saturday March 15th (my birthday) from 19-22 to unleash your consciousness. Riccardo Lanciotto Magris, also known as RLM, was born in Florence in 1971 and is the son of Roberto Magris, the founder of the avant-garde architectural movement Superstudio in the 1970s. RLM graduated in architecture from the University of Florence. From his early teenage years, he discovered his passion for painting, taking inspiration mainly from the art movements of the 1980s such as “Neo Geo,” “The Pictures Generations,” “Neo-Expressionism,” “Street Art,” and “Graffiti.” Moreover, the 1980s were a period of increasing capitalism and global political upheavals, characterized by new fashion trends, the development of pop, hip hop, rap, and electronic music. These years, marked by significant historical events such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Chernobyl explosion, and the end of the Cold War, had a strong impact on the generation of artists who grew up during that time, particularly on RLM. Riccardo Lanciotto Magris has lived, traveled, and worked in Florence, Milan, Zurich, Munich, London, and Berlin, cities that have profoundly influenced him artistically, thanks to encounters with various artists, including Luca Matti, Andrea Granchi, Roberto Barni, and the chameleon-like Robert Grigorov. RLM has participated in various exhibitions, both solo and group shows, both nationally and internationally. With his exhibition, Unleashing Consciousness, we discover him in all his expressive forms, which have as a common denominator the target of awakening the observer’s soul, taking him down to the very roots of creation, into primordiality, and guiding him towards aware - ness. In each of his works, one can simultaneously feel delicacy and strength, light and colors, joy and deep introspection. Unleashing Consciousness is an explosion of sub- lime creativity, in which Riccardo Lanciotto Magris, connecting with his inner self in a sort of meditative transcendence, manages both consciously and un- consciously to bring it to light with great mastery, transmuting it into something unseen before. The attentive observer, by immersing himself in his works, will therefore be able to penetrate and discover that typical genius of the great artists who have marked artistic movements such as informal art, abstract expressionism, conceptual art, both contemporary and 20th century. Come celebrate art and life (and mine specifically). ;)
