If you are someone who constantly feels like time is slipping away, I want to encourage you that as time may be moving constantly, what really matters is enjoying the present moment. Even though we gained an extra hour of time recently, if you find yourself getting caught up in the game of life, take a moment to hit the pause button. We really were not designed to be on the go as much as we tend to these days, so it is important to slow down sometimes. Take a lesson from Italians and practice 'the art of oing nothing.' It is quite a beautiful thing and generally is quite complicated, especially for Americans who have to go from one place to the next and have a full calendar of things to do. Yes, it is nice to be busy with friends and family, and have a full plate of activities and festivities, but running nonstop may stop you dead in your tracks. Take it from me. I was this person. I am still trying to figure out this whole relaxing thing. It goes against my nature, but that was how society trained us. We do get to choose how and with whom we spend our time.
