Is your cup half full or half empty?
I know in this wonderful world of chaos, it may be difficult to focus on the bright side, but that is just what we must do. We have to remain hopeful that everything is working out for our highest and best, and all in the right timing. Sometimes we forget all that we have accomplished in this life and get trapped in repeating the stories of our past, or complaining about negative experience we've had, or what we are seeing on the news, but that literally gets us nowhere. By focusing on the good things that are happening (or that have happened in your life up to this point), you tend to attract more things to be grateful for. However, when you spin in the negative, that is what tends to keep showing up for you- cause that is where your focus lies. I'm not saying it is easy, but it is more or less a practice of catching yourself. To only speak positively and to stop speaking negatively about people, places, or things. Just stop. Take a deep breath. Exhale. And maybe have a glass of water. I also invite you to join me every Wednesday morning from 9-11 am as I share my mediation and yoga practice with the community. This is a safe space where all are welcome. No experience is required. For February, the focus is on the sacral chakra. This energy center governs the water element inside of you, all that is fluid. It relates to fun, freedom, creativity, flexibility, sex, pleasure, and money. Traumatic experiences, such as emotional abuse, neglect, or sexual trauma, can disrupt the flow of energy in the sacral chakra, leading to blockages and imbalances in this area. Symptoms of a blocked sacral chakra can include detachment, isolation, anxiety, loneliness, low libido, or a lack of creative inspiration. Come with an open heart and mind, and feel your body unwind. Love yourself.
