Love doesn't cost a thing

Did you know that the skin is the largest organ of the body? And in a world where we have been physically deprived of not only seeing each other, but touching each other as well, our bodies have taken a toll. Sadly, we have gotten used to not touching each other. Even before covid came into our lives, I had learned this information and went on a hugging the nation rampage. They say a good hug is 20 seconds long, where you can feel the hearts beating in harmony. And the best thing about giving a hug is that you get one in return. There was a study done in the 1940's that showed how 25 infants were changed and fed, but never given any love or affection. All of them died. All of them. So basically I'm trying to tell you that the cost of not loving nor having physical touch does in fact cost you your life. Find yourself giving love this holiday season. You just might save your life or twelve others...

Give the gift of time

Time is our most precious commodity. It is something we all cannot get back or get more of. So how about on this holiday season, you give the gift of being present with your loved ones? Put down your phone, really listen, be engaged in the conversation. Life is fleeting and we should strive to make the most of our time with the people we love, because we never know when it might be our last encounter with them. When we are present and really paying attention to another person, they feel seen and heard, and mostly, that's what they want. It's when we are cut off, or disregarded, or not listened to that we feel sad or empty or that no one really cares. Take the time to show others in your life that you do care about them by being there for them when they need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to their problems. For those who need someone to talk to, please know that I am here. For the rest of the year I am offering donation based services to those in need of my guidance. It's my way of giving back.
