Sometimes in this world we may feel like things are out of control. Well, they are. However, many things are in your control such as your thoughts, your feelings, and your behaviors. I know to some this may seem farfetched as our minds move at warp speeds, our emotions might come out like an erupting volcano, and we react intuitively on the spot when catastrophe strikes. But ultimately, you are in control of how you respond to people, places, and things on the outside. This is where mediation and yoga comes in, to teach you how to be in the moment, allow things to pass (as they all do), and breathe through whatever is ailing you. The next time you feel out of control and can't steer the wheel properly, I gently remind you that you are the only one who can drive yourself and control the speed. Know that you are capable of controlling the supervision of your psyche, deciphering your spirit, and taking disciplined movements.
