In the beginning, it is important to allow the feeling. Allow yourself to feel the anger without judgement, or fear. We often try to resist anger because it feels like pain and we will avoid that at all costs. Try to hold space for whatever comes up. Then, you actually need to experience the feeling. When you resist the feeling, it makes it stronger. Resistance creates a magnet that attracts all of your thoughts and energy towards you anger. The more energy you give it, the harder it is to let go of it. Next, let the feeling run through you. Sit with it, pretend it is like water rushing over you. If you try to stop it, it will find a way to come out, usually expressed in the body as pain and/or disease. The final step is to surrender to the feeling. When the feeling has passed, take a moment and notice the change within you. There is freedom now that you are no longer resisting, now you have created space. And you can create even more space by surrendering all the thoughts and beliefs that are associated with it...
