Today is National Let It Go Day

Can you let go of what no longer serves you?

How to really let it go...

In the beginning, it is important to allow the feeling. Allow yourself to feel the anger without judgement, or fear. We often try to resist anger because it feels like pain and we will avoid that at all costs. Try to hold space for whatever comes up. Then, you actually need to experience the feeling. When you resist the feeling, it makes it stronger. Resistance creates a magnet that attracts all of your thoughts and energy towards you anger. The more energy you give it, the harder it is to let go of it. Next, let the feeling run through you. Sit with it, pretend it is like water rushing over you. If you try to stop it, it will find a way to come out, usually expressed in the body as pain and/or disease. The final step is to surrender to the feeling. When the feeling has passed, take a moment and notice the change within you. There is freedom now that you are no longer resisting, now you have created space. And you can create even more space by surrendering all the thoughts and beliefs that are associated with it...

The Substitute

Letting it go has everything to do with facing reality. For those of us who live in our fantasy world, that can be a hard pill to swallow. However, the truth will always set you free. And accepting the truth for what it is instead of what we want it to be, could help us all move on faster and let go. Practice being in the moment and releasing what no longer serves you via the breath, the only thing that calms down the nervous system. So whether you're crying and in pain, or thrown off by a comment that someone just said, consider using The Substitute. The Substitute is a psychological/physiological tool that relieves stress or anxiety, anger or depression, or any number of other ailments. Keep in mind that there are also no negative side affects. Oxygen is what you need and crave. Try it and connect with @thesubstituesociety to follow the lifestyle. No tobacco, no toxins, simply air.

Just breathe.

Find yourself.
