Reality can be described as the state of things as they actually exist. The way in which you process things as they are, is based upon your personality, which are the enduring characteristics and behavior that comprise your unique adjustment to life, including major traits, interests, drives, values, self-concept, abilities, and emotional patterns. Read that again and then think about applying that statement to everyone in the world. Hopefully, based on that fact alone, we can all agree that reality is different from one person to the next, in essence. I know this may seem difficult to wrap your brain around this concept, but how you think, feel, and act differs from every other human being on the planet based on your own particular life experiences. Because of this, you do get to create the kind of life that you desire. You can exit a situation that no longer supports your life goals. You can choose to change the way you think, alter how you respond to people/situations, and correct behaviors that are not healthy for the life you want to live.
