Forgiveness Day

What is Forgiveness?

Forgiveness is defined as a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness. And the neat thing that happens is that the moment you forgive, you realize that you'll feel lighter, brighter, and better.

What Forgiveness is not.

When you forgive, you are not ignoring what has happened or denying that what happened took place. And just because you forgive someone does not mean that you need to forget what transpired, or condone that it happened. It is not making excuses for the offensive behavior. What is important, is that when you forgive someone who hurt you, you release your bond to it as well, ultimately freeing yourself.

If you or someone you know if struggling with forgiveness, consider booking a session with me.

The Substitute

Forgiveness brings the forgiver peace of mind and frees them from destructive behavior. Experts agree that when you let go of deeply held negative feelings, it empowers you to recognize the pain you suffered without letting that pain define you, enabling you to heal and move on with your life. It's like taking one long exhale. If you find yourself holding your breath more often than taking one, consider trying The Substitute and connect with @thesubstituesociety to follow the lifestyle.
No tobacco, no toxins, simply air.

Just breathe.
