Grand Reopening of TAOS Thursday, May 30th 7-10pm

Five, four, three, two, one...

Let the countdown begin.

Well, here we are, in the final stretch. There are still so many things to do, but I am trying to be patient with myself and the process. I know that everything is as it should be, and it will all work out for my highest and best. I am also trying hard to not slip back into any unhealthy behaviors as I reenter the market. Meaning, when I started to feel overwhelmed or stressed out, I take a moment to just breathe. I remind myself that I have done this many times before, and not to stress over the small stuff. I'm also working with my daughter, so there's a plot twist for you, too. Have all the final meetings with the artist, the manufacturer, the wine distributors, and many more before opening the doors to the public once again on Thursday evening. I am so excited to share this new adventure with you all, and please come if you're close. For those of you who are far away, know that I feel your spirit, too, and I thank you. I miss you all tremendously, and I'm excited to be back, and better than ever.

Speaking of patience...
On this Saturday, I would like to encourage you to take your time. Think things over for a moment before jumping to conclusions, making assumptions, and freaking out. In our fast paced wold of immediate gratification and misunderstandings, it helps to take a moment to pause, breathe, and reset. If you or someone you know needs help with slowing down, please consider scheduling a session with me. I remember I used to say that I didn't know how to relax, and then I got pneumonia five years ago and it took me three months to recover. The Universe was telling me to sit down. I had no choice. But I am hoping to avoid the pitfalls of working myself to death, as so many of us do. At the end of the day, what is truly important is that we are still here, alive and well. Working yourself to the bone and to the point of exhaustion does nobody any good. Taking care of yourself mentally and emotionally does lend itself to being physically well, too. They are all connected. Have patience with yourself. Get to know what makes you tick, ticks you off, and why, and how to accept what is, in order to be at peace with whatever is. It is a process, but possible.
The Substitute

The Substitute is the ultimate accessory to help you just breathe when stress hits you hard or your anxiety starts creeping in. Taking a long inhale and exhale in most situations will do your mind and body good and it goes a long way. All the way through your nervous system and your blood stream, into your lungs, and massaging your organs and muscles, it really is what we need to survive. See how much better you feel when you start breathing more on a regular basis (we really don't realize how often we are holding our breath), and see how stable you become in maddening situations. The Substitute is also a pointing stick, back scratcher, hand smacker, ass slapper, private toucher, dance partner, and of course, a magic wand. Let it guide you throughout the day in a healthy way, that simply allows you to just breathe.

Intimate Conversations with Lady Kendra
Join me every Monday at 9pm CET on Instagram Live as I talk about life and such. This is my way to have a conversation with the world about some subjects that may be taboo or touchy. For me, there is no such thing. Please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question. This week I talked about trusting in your abilities. Next week I'll discuss timing. Go figure. Be a part of the conversation and follow the journey @kendraleonard. Starting in June, I will host this at my studio in Florence, Italy where we can meet and talk about these topics in person from 7-9pm as a collective. Become a member of The Substitute Society and be a part of the (r)evolution.
Find yourself.
