How do you break the pattern?

How do you break the pattern?

Be consistent.

It takes 66 times to make a habit. Once you are aware of a pattern that you are wanting to break, you have to work really hard at stopping any behaviors that are unhealthy or sabotaging your progress to becoming a better version of yourself. You must be diligent and do the work, committing yourself to a better life. The rewards are many, but it is hard to break the cycle. If you maintain focus and consistency, you can achieve your goals. If you need an accountability partner, that's where I come in.

Be kind.

To yourself (and others). Being gentle with yourself during this process can be hard, but you should be congratulating yourself on wanting to make a positive change in your life. If you are trying to break a pattern that no longer serves you, give yourself time and space to feel and heal. Talk, cry, laugh, or shout it out, but remember that this process can be painful and other things may pop up that were unexpected. The only thing constant in life is change, so whatever you're going through, it will pass.

Be grateful.

Studies have proven that expressing gratitude on a regular basis will increase happiness in your life. Tis the season for showing our appreciation, but what if we started doing this as an intrinsic part of who we are as humans? It doesn't take a special day or season to show appreciativeness for all the amazing people we have in our lives and how truly fortunate most of us are. Take a moment to recognize the blessings that have come your way and make a commitment to being full of grace.

Find yourself.

Doing the work is hard and takes a lot of time and effort. If you're ready and willing, please consider scheduling a session with me.
