It's Be Someone Day!

Please, just be yourself...

You are One of a Kind.

On this Thursday, I would like to take the time to remind you that there is no one else quite like you in the entire Universe. Your life experiences are unique to you and contribute to who you are today. No one else thinks precisely like you do, no one else feels quite like you do, and no one else looks exactly like you. You are special in your own way! Sharing your gifts and talents with the world is your superpower. By speaking your truth and living authentically, you are taking part in this magical world we call home, showing up just as you are, and we are all in on it! Thank you for allowing us to participate in your journey as you chase your dreams. I tend to share myself through my words, which is why I've written two books and plan on writing at least seven or eight. Realizing that we all have a story to share allows others to be vulnerable, too. Being true to yourself is what your heart and soul long for- it is the only way to achieve inner peace and true freedom. So today, I encourage you to be the most credible version of yourself, as it is the best way to be, and while doing so, inspires others to do the same.

To Be or Not to Be, That is the Question...

Here are some examples of not being true to who you are: 1. Laughing at something that’s not funny just to be polite. 2. Complimenting someone when you don’t mean it. 3. Lying about something just to please others. 4. Acting happy when you are miserable, or vice versa, among others. 5. Hiding your true opinion for the sake of popularity. 6. Forcing yourself to do things you don’t like, saying things you don’t mean, and going places you don’t care to go, in a relationship. On the flip side, here are some signs that you are being true to yourself: 1. You feel good, simple, and pure. 2. You feel comfortable in your own skin. 3. Your inner voice goes quiet and stops badgering you. 4. You manage situations easier – no need to keep track of lies and pretenses. 5. You don’t have to think hard to act a part. You innately know how to be yourself. 6. You are not trying to impress anyone. 7. You are not worried about being judged or singled out. 8. Your muscles relax and you breathe easy. 9. You concentrate better on the task at hand. 10. You make confident decisions without second guessing your every move.

If you need help being your authentic self, please consider scheduling a session with me...

The Substitute

When we compromise who we are for the sake of others, we tense up, and eventually shut down. We can feel that we are unsettled. Our bodies are letting us know that something isn't right. Another thing we do, is we hold our breath. Of course we all breathe autonomously, but when we consciously inhale and more importantly exhale, we bring more peace into our lives. If you need a friendly reminder to relax and just be yourself, consider trying       The Substitute. No tobacco. No toxins. Simply air. Just breathe.

The Books

Both of my books are mini memoirs. The first one, you only live once, is primarily about my husband's diagnosis with cancer and ultimately his death and what that experience was like. The second one, mind.body.soul. is my journey of being single and discerning more about myself throughout that process. If you need a little inspiration, curious about death and what happens in the end, or are on a journey of self discovery and are in a relationship with yourself, these books can assist you during these times. They'll make you laugh and cry, and question some things about life. Soon, you will be able to listen to the story on audible, if you prefer that method. In the meantime, go to your local bookstore, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, or my website to order yourself a copy.
