How can we set healthy boundaries?

What are healthy boundaries?
Healthy boundaries are those boundaries that are set to make sure you are mentally and emotionally stable. They involve the physical, psychological, and emotive limits of appropriate behavior between people, and help define where one person ends and the other begins. The purpose of setting a healthy boundary is, of course, to protect and take good care of you. Think of boundaries as an invisibility cloak of armor over your personal or mental space. Knowing how to protect your mind, body, and soul are paramount to your well being and happiness. Specifically, healthy boundaries can help people define their individuality and can help people indicate what they will and will not hold themselves responsible for. We typically learn boundaries during childhood within our families. But what happens when we aren't taught them or know how to create them with others as we go through life?

Life certainly has its way of teaching us lessons until we really get them. One of the most important lessons in life is learning how to set healthy boundaries. If we don't learn how to do this, we will continue to be tested. It is your job to set parameters around the people that you share your life with.
